North Central All Stars

Each Summer starting on June 15th, North Central fields three all star baseball teams: a 9/10 year old, 11 year old, and a Majors team.  These teams compete in the Disctrict 8 All Star tournaments.  On the Majors level, this is the first tournament that ultimately leads to the Little League World Series in Williamsport, Pennsylvania.

How Do Players Make The All Stars?
To make the 9/10 and 11 year old All Star teams a player must attend tryouts on or around June 15th. Mostly kids are invited to the tryouts by their regular season coach or one of the coaches of the all star team. The Majors (11-12 year olds) team is selected by secret ballot by the players and coaches in the Majors division as well as a few team manager selections.  There are also All Star teams for Junior League (13/14) and Senior League (15/16).  All kids who play on an All Star team must commit to playing baseball (nearly) everyday between June 15th and (most likely) mid-July.  All Star families arrange summer vacations accordingly.
If you are interested in All Stars...
According to the rules of National Little League, North Central cannot "prepare" or otherwise engage in development of All Stars during the course of the regular season (until June 15th).  However, it is OK to let your regular season coach know if this is something that interests your player and it is a great goal to set with your kid if s/he is one of those that is passionate about the game.
